Bridging Underwriter

We are looking for an experienced Bridging Underwriter to manage allocated cases from start to finish. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong underwriting expertise who thrives in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage the lending process from application to drawdown, ensuring compliance with underwriting and due diligence procedures
*
Prioritise and manage a pipeline of bridging cases efficiently
*
Ensure all applications meet lending criteria
*
Liaise with internal teams and external parties throughout the lending process
*
Instruct solicitors once offers are made and provide necessary documentation
*
Follow Treating Customers Fairly (TCF) guidelines and responsible lending principles
*
Demonstrate deep underwriting knowledge and support the wider team when needed
Skills and Experience:
*
Previous underwriting experience in bridging and/or development finance
*
Strong understanding of FCA regulation
*
CeMAP qualification desirable but not essential
*
Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
*
Excellent attention to detail, organisational and prioritisation skills
*
Strong written and verbal communication skills
