We’re looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our dedicated team at New Bradley Hall, our purpose-built, dementia-friendly residential care home in Dudley. In this role, you’ll help ensure our residents enjoy nutritious, well-prepared meals every day — supporting their health and wellbeing and making mealtimes something to look forward to. What you’ll be doing Helping prepare and serve food to a high standard. Assisting the Cook to ensure the smooth running of the kitchen. Receiving and checking stock deliveries and maintaining food hygiene records. Deputising for the Cook when needed. Maintaining excellent hygiene standards and ensuring stores are kept clean and organised. Promoting good practice in food hygiene and safety at all times. What we’re looking for Experience preparing and serving food in a large catering setting. Experience working with vulnerable people and understanding dietary needs. A commitment to great customer service. Essential: Food Hygiene Certificate. Ideally City & Guilds (NVQ Level 2) in Professional Cookery — or willing to work towards it.
