Job Description:
This is a fantastic opportunity to join Marshalls Land Systems ((url removed)/) and their team of Skilled Electrical Installers, manufacturing and installing electrical circuits and communication systems into mobile workspaces and various electrical products and equipment based at their facility in Cambridge (postcode is CB5 8RX)
The role is responsible for the installation of cabling, wiring, and electro-mechanical components into deployable shelters, under the supervision of Red Seal Industrial Electrician.
PAYE rates as follows: STANDARD pays £26.70 per hour (holiday pay is paid on top)
ANYTHING OVER 37 HOURS IS TIME AND HALF which pays £40.05 per hour
SUNDAYS pays £53.40 per hour

Hours: 7.15am – 3.45pm Monday to Thursday with a half day finish on Friday’s
Duties:
Assemble and install electrical components into deployable shelters using engineering drawings and associated design data;
Read schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures;
Operate standard equipment including but not limited to various testing tools;
Assemble and install component pieces using hand and power tools;
Adhere to all Health and Safety, and Quality policies and procedures;
Participate in the creation of job instructions, operating procedures;
Participate in continuous improvement activities;
Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor – Components & Assembly.
Employment Requirements:
Red Seal Industrial Electrician trade certification in progress, or eligibility to progress preferred
Minimum three years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, or demonstrated capability within Marshall production facility, preferred;
Experience with electronics, and controls are preferred;
Willing to learn other international electrical codes and practices;
Must be well organized, self-motivated and results oriented, to ensure work assignments are completed in a timely manner;
Able to deal with and support change;
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills;
Understanding of lean manufacturing principles including 5S, Kanban and SMED, preferred;
Attention to detail;
Able to build trust and respect among fellow team members:
Able and willing to accept feedback and direction from Red Seal Industrial Electricians
Knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Excel/Word, Outlook;
Available to work overtime as required;
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality;
Must be eligible to meet the requirements of export control regulations, including the Canadian Controlled Goods Program and Canadian government security requirements.
