Application Security Architect

Our client, a leading technology consultancy, is seeking an Application Security Architect to take ownership of defining and embedding security best practices across a diverse range of client projects. You’ll play a key role in ensuring security is built in from the ground up, not bolted on, working closely with engineering, cloud, and DevSecOps teams to design robust, scalable, and compliant solutions.

In this role, you’ll:
* Lead the design and implementation of secure application architectures across cloud and on-prem environments
* Define and enforce security standards, patterns, and guardrails throughout the SDLC
* Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud-native workloads
* Conduct threat modelling, risk assessments, and security reviews on new and existing solutions
* Provide technical guidance and mentorship on secure coding practices, tooling, and compliance frameworks
The ideal Application Security Architect will have:
* Proven experience in application and cloud security architecture (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
* Strong understanding of threat modelling, OWASP Top 10, secure coding, and DevSecOps principles
* Hands-on experience with CI/CD integration, security automation, and infrastructure as code
* Familiarity with compliance and governance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, CIS, etc.)
* Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to balance security priorities and business needs
