Wellington College is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Housekeeper (Boarding House Assistant) to join our team and play a vital role in the day-to-day care and ensure the wellbeing of our boarders are to the highest standard.

The Role

We are offering a working week of 26 hours for 52 weeks per year on a rota basis, with a choice of either; 7:30 – 11:30 with 1 long day a week and every other Saturday during term time or 14:00 – 18:00 with 1 long day a week and every other Saturday during term time.

Main Responsibilities: (Including but not limited to; see job description for full requirements):


* Complete daily cleaning tasks as assigned, following the house cleaning schedule
* Coordinate a full call-over when waking boarders in the morning
* Monitor pupils' medical needs, including administering and observing prescribed and non-prescribed medication
* Arrange travel for pupils to A&E or personal appointments
* Monitor pupil whereabouts between 07:30 and 11:30
* Manage access for visitors and contractors to the house

Person Specification

The Successful Candidate Will Have

* A well-developed understanding of the English language, both spoken and written
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* A caring, reliable, and proactive approach
* Awareness of safeguarding requirements (desirable)
* Previous experience in a similar role (preferred but not essential)
