Overview
Aspire People are recruiting for an SEMH Teaching Assistant to support pupils with SEMH needs in a school located in Spalding, Lincolnshire. This role is full-time, on a temp to perm basis starting immediately. Working hours are 08:30 - 15:30 and you will predominantly be working 1:1 with students who show disregulated behaviour.
The role requires a high level of resilience and we are ideally looking for people who are energetic and have experience of working with children with social, emotional and mental health needs.
Responsibilities
* Promote inclusion and acceptance of all students
* Support pupils consistently whilst responding to their individual needs
* Create a safe learning environment for pupils
* De-escalate behavior that challenges through the forming of trusting relationships
Qualifications and requirements
* Must have recent/relevant experience working with children and young people, specifically those with SEND/SEMH
* Must have a passion for education
