We are seeking a reliable Machine Operative to join our client's team in a new state of the art facility, based in the Eurocentral area, with an excellent chance to go permanent in due course.
Responsibilities
- Setting and operating a production line, handling raw materials, and working around machinery.
- Working to set targets and deadlines.
- General cleaning and housekeeping of the factory.
- Ensuring safety and meeting quality standards.
- Assisting the engineering team.
- Assisting at the end of the production process and moving raw materials for those with a forklift licence.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Forklift licence advantageous but not essential.
- Physically fit due to the nature of the role.
- Comfortable working with and near machinery and operating control panels.
- Reliable and committed to a rotating shift pattern.
- Own transport may be required due to location and shifts.
Key Information and Benefits
- Rotating shift pattern of 6:00‑2:00 and 2:00‑10:00, Monday to Friday.
- Immediate starts.
- £13.60 per hour for early/back shift.
- £16.96 per hour for night shift hours, if an opportunity arises.
- Regular overtime available and paid at 1.5× and 2×.
