Overview
The role is to provide cycle/scooter training to pupils and adults in Thurrock to Bikeability standards, to enable them to cycle safely and to promote cycling by improving skills/knowledge/attitudes/behaviour and hazard awareness.
You will have contact with members of the public/staff within schools and the wider Road Safety Team.
Responsibilities
* Provide cycle/scooter training to pupils and adults in Thurrock to Bikeability standards to enable safe cycling and promote cycling by improving skills, knowledge, attitudes, behaviour and hazard awareness.
* Engage with members of the public, school staff and the wider Road Safety Team.
Requirements and Qualifications
* Experience with children is desired but not essential.
* Good communication skills with children of all ages and adults.
* Confident in riding a bike yourself and passionate about promoting sustainable travel.
* Own vehicle large enough to transport a fold-up bicycle, as you will be travelling to different schools on a daily basis.
* Full training will be given. Equipment and uniform will be supplied.
* Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check at Enhanced level with Children's Barred List required for this post.
