An exciting opportunity has arisen for a rotational Pharmacy Technician to join the pharmacy team at Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals. This role is based at Royal Brompton Hospital within our established, well-resourced pharmacy department. We are looking for a committed, highly motivated, and enthusiastic individual to contribute to our ongoing success. You will work as part of a friendly and supportive team of pharmacy assistants, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacists.
This is a great opportunity for newly qualified or soon-to-qualify pharmacy technicians, as well as experienced pharmacy technicians.
This post is based at the Royal Brompton Site and involves rotation between Patient Services and Medicines Management.
Responsibilities include:
1. Delivering the daily workload in Patient Services
2. Assisting in managing the daily workload for Patient Services
3. Supporting the training and development of junior staff
4. Working in the dispensary as an accredited checking pharmacy technician (ACPT)
5. Collaborating with clinical teams to support our Medicines Optimisation service
6. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams to provide a high-quality medicines management service
You will have:
* Registration with the GPHC or imminent registration
* Experience in relevant hospital pharmacy work
* The ACPT qualification
* AIMMS or MOP qualification, or willingness to undertake it
* Educational Supervisor qualification, or willingness to undertake it
* Excellent organisational, time management, customer service, and communication skills
* Effective team working skills
* Experience in counselling patients
* Strong problem-solving skills
* A motivated, 'can do' attitude
