Play an important part in our journey at our new Worcester Depot
As a Warehouse Apprentice reporting to the Warehouse Manager, you will learn how our Warehouse Management System controls stock throughout our processes as well as all aspects of our ongoing stock checking systems, maintaining stock integrity. Alongside your role you will be working towards achieving your Level 2 Supply chain warehouse operative qualification. You’ll be:
* Checking and recording stock to standards and using relevant systems
* Booking goods in with our RF Scanners
* Learning our goods in desk and systems
* Greeting Drivers
* Learn how to control size of fixture, labelling, Sales Monitoring, and all aspects of food Safety.
* Have the opportunity to assess needs, investigate discrepancies and make recommendations.
* Follow all health and safety and food safety procedures
* Supporting stock checks and audits
* Helping receive goods in, booking stock away and unloading vehicles.
* Learn how to use the warehouse management system
* Help maintain a clean, safe and well organised warehouse environment
* Often work alone and therefore will need to be self-motivated
This role is a blend of desk and warehouse based - you’ll be moving around a lot, so a good level of physical fitness will help you on your journey with us. It’s also important that you care about your team, our customers and our goods. Most of all, you’ll work hard to make sure our drivers leave with the warehouse on time with the right stock on board their trucks, so our customers get the food they need.
Prior Qualifications
No formal prior qualifications are required for you to apply for this role, but we are looking for passes in GCSE qualifications in Maths, English (or equivalent) along with good level of IT skills
