Hays are looking for an ambitious Accounts Assistant to join a growing engineering business based in Stockport. The successful candidate will have the responsibility of maintaining the Purchase Ledger for three separate entities. Reporting directly to the Finance Director/Controller, we are looking for ambitious individuals looking to grow within their finance career.
Key tasks:
1. Looking after the purchase ledger for threepanies.
2. Purchase invoice processing, obtaining authorisation, reconciling supplier statements and promoting pay.
3. Uploading invoices and maintaining the invoice discounting portal, including reconciliations and liaising with the provider.
4. Bookkeeping, includingpany bank account postings.
5. Iing post
6. Dealing with supplier queries.
7. Answer Finance office phone and deal with phone calls in relation to purchase / sales ledger andpany credit card / misc calls.
Skills Required:
8. Sage 50
9. Excel
10. Sales Ledger
11. Purchase Ledger
12. Sales Ledger
13. Excel Skills (VLOOKUP, Pivots etc)
14. Knowledge of Xero Software preferred but not essential
