Residential Support Worker Childrens Residential Home Our client is seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Support Workers to join their childrens residential home in Knowsley (CH36). The successful candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care, promoting stability, and creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive.
The Role As a Residential Support Worker, you will work as part of a team to provide consistent care and support to young people with emotional and behavioural needs. You will help maintain a structured, safe, and positive home environment while promoting independence, resilience, and wellbeing. You will: ?Support young people in line with their individual care plans, risk assessments, and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) plans ?Build positive, trusting relationships with young people ?Promote emotional wellbeing, independence, and life skills ?Support young people with daily routines, education, and appointments ?Maintain accurate and timely records, including daily logs and reports ?Contribute to maintaining high standards within the home ?Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and welfare of young people at all times ?Work collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals ?Participate in shift work, including evenings and weekends
What Were Looking For ?Previous experience in a childrens residential setting (desirable) ?Experience supporting young people with emotional and behavioural needs ?A caring, patient, and resilient approach ?Strong communication and teamwork skills ?Understanding of safeguarding and behaviour management principles ?Ability to promote a positive and supportive home environment ?Level 3 in Children & Young People (or equivalent) desirable ?Flexibility to work shifts including evenings and weekends
