Cover Supervisor – Litherland High School, part of The Heath Family (NW) MAT. Dates apply by midday on Friday 19 September 2025. Salary MAT 5 (NJC 11-17) £28,142.00 to £31,022.00 (FTE) £23,794 to £26,229.00. Location: Sefton, Merseyside. Contract Type: Full Time. Contract Term: Permanent. The Governing Body is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, committed and well-qualified Cover Supervisor to join our team from September 2025 to provide cover for teachers in the event of short- or long-term absences.
This role requires you to deliver lessons using resources provided by the teacher or subject leader, and to support students in completing the work to the best of their ability. As a valued member of staff, you will provide the consistency and continuity our students require.
Responsibilities
* Deliver lessons using resources provided by the teacher or subject leader.
* Support students to complete work to the best of their ability.
* Work in conjunction with a range of teachers and subject leaders to develop an understanding of the curriculum.
* Provide flexibility and adaptability in a busy school environment.
* Develop positive relationships with students and staff.
Candidate requirements
* Experience in a school setting is ideal.
* Excellent behaviour management skills.
* Ability to contribute positively to student learning.
* Skills and knowledge to deliver support across a range of subjects.
* Flexibility and adaptability to cope with pace and demands of the school day.
* Ability to inspire children, enjoy working with young people, and make a real difference to students.
