Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Technician to join our team In a family run garage. The ideal candidate will possess good mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various tools and equipment. As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining vehicles to a high standard while maintaining our reputation for quality workmanship.
Working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:00am to 17:00pm.
20 days holiday plus bank holidays.
Responsibilities
* Diagnose mechanical issues as well as electrical issues using diagnostic equipment and schematic diagrams.
* Perform repairs on vehicles, including engine, transmission, and brake systems.
* Assemble and disassemble vehicle components as required.
* Conduct routine maintenance checks and services to ensure vehicle reliability.
* Repair or replace faulty equipment as necessary.
* Maintain a clean and organised workspace.
* Able to work on a variety of cars, vans and motorhomes.
Requirements
* Proven mechanical knowledge with experience in automotive repair.
* Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
* Good customer service skills, demonstrating professionalism at all times.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* MOT license preferred however not essential as required training will be provided for the right candidate.
* Must have own tools and full UK driving licence.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £28,000.00-£38,000.00 per year
