Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Saturday Medicines Counter Assistant/Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The hours will be 10am till 4pm every Saturday. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting pharmacists in the sale of over the counter medicines, offering advice to customers on the provision of information, symptoms and products. The candidate will also be responsible dispensing medication and providing excellent patient care.
Duties
* Provide excellent customer service
* Offer informed advice on appropriate treatment of minor ailments and products (following OTC protocol)
* Use cash register to serve customers
* Taking in and handing out prescriptions
* Stock management and merchandising
* Dispensing prescribed medications accurately and efficiently
* Providing information to patients on medication usage and potential side effects
* Collaborating with pharmacists to ensure the correct medication is dispensed
* Maintaining accurate and organised records of medications dispensed
* Assisting with inventory management and stock control
* Ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations and standards
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a pharmacy setting is desirable
