Registered Veterinary Nurse - Small Animal
We’re looking for a passionate and proactive Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our growing team of over 20 nurses at Wheelhouse Vets. This is a full-time role (40 hours per week) across 4.5 days (Monday to Friday), with Saturdays on a 1 in 5 rota.
You’ll be part of a modern, forward-thinking, and well-resourced group of practices committed to high clinical standards and genuine personal development.
You’ll be involved in all aspects of small animal nursing – from consults and client support to hands-on clinical work, including wound management, radiography, and emergency and critical care. You’ll also contribute to a wide range of nurse clinics and have the chance to shape how we deliver these services.
You’ll work closely with our multidisciplinary team and benefit from a structured support system, regular team meetings, and guidance from our Nurse Leadership Team.
Being a clinical coach (or willing to train as one) is essential, as you'll help mentor and support our student nurses.
About the Practice
Wheelhouse Vets is an RCVS-accredited group with branches in Chesham, Chalfont St Giles, Amersham, and Beaconsfield. We’re constantly evolving to meet the highest standards of care and service. Our facilities include endoscopy, laparoscopic spays, DR/CR radiography, ultrasound, Class 4 laser, in-house labs, and multiple consult rooms per site.
We have team members with certificates (achieved or in progress) in a wide range of fields including ophthalmology, ECC, anaesthesia, orthopaedics, and dermatology. Our culture encourages everyone to find their niche and pursue it.
