Locum Dentist – Charity / Mobile Clinics | Somerset & South West | £450 per Day
MBR Dental are currently assisting Dentaid, a not-for-profit dental charity, to recruit Locum Dentists to support their services across Somerset and surrounding areas, including Yeovil, Mendip, Glastonbury, Taunton, and Bridgwater.
This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the community, providing essential dental care to vulnerable patients.
Position Details
1. Ad hoc locum shifts available
2. Ongoing contracts until further notice
3. Monday to Friday availability (flexible days)
4. Regular monthly locum opportunities
5. Working hours: 4–6 hours per day
6. £450 per day rate
7. No lab bills
About the Role
8. Working from a mobile dental unit
9. Providing emergency dental treatment and primary care
10. Referring complex cases as appropriate
11. Travelling to community locations and outreach settings
You will be supporting patients from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
12. Individuals experiencing homelessness
13. Refugees and asylum seekers
14. People affected by domestic abuse
15. Patients with addiction support needs
16. Families and looked-after children
17. Other vulnerable and underserved groups
Locations
18. Somerset: Yeovil, Mendip, Glastonbury, Taunton, Bridgwater
19. Additional outreach locations may include County Durham and South Shields

Requirements
24. GDC registered Dentist
25. Minimum 4+ years’ UK post-graduate experience
26. Enhanced DBS (required upon request)
27. Comfortable working in mobile / outreach environments
28. No NHS Performer Number required
