Operational Support Manager Location: Bury St Edmunds Full-time | Permanent Salary: Dependant on Experience We're looking for an Operational Support Manager to join our team and help keep things running smoothly across the business. This is a hands-on, varied role that would suit someone who’s organised, comfortable juggling different tasks, and enjoys being the go-to person when things need sorting out. You’ll be involved in everything from general office admin and coordination of meetings, to supporting directors, liaising with contractors, and helping with health & safety and compliance tasks. You don’t need to know everything on day one, but you do need to be proactive, detail-focused, and ready to roll up your sleeves. What you’ll be doing: * Day-to-day admin: answering phones, managing emails, handling post and supplies. * Supporting the directors with general tasks like document prep, quotes, and meeting notes. * Helping to keep things compliant — tracking vehicle MOTs, training records, insurance, and renewals. * Liaising with contractors and warranty providers to make sure everyone has the info they need. * Scheduling internal and external meetings, greeting visitors, and keeping the office organised. * Working with construction and accounts teams to keep things moving — including health & safety coordination and invoice follow-ups. * Keeping databases and the company website updated, and helping troubleshoot small IT issues with support from our external team. What we’re looking for: * Someone with previous admin or office support experience (construction or property is a bonus, but not essential). * Confident using email, Excel, Word, and picking up new systems. * Organised, reliable, and good at following through on tasks. * Able to manage competing priorities and stay calm under pressure. * A clear communicator who’s comfortable dealing with different people — from site managers to directors.
