What you’ll be doing
Deliver groceries by driving a 3.5 tonne van to customers’ doorsteps, on time and in good condition.
* Complete checks to ensure the van is organized, clean and roadworthy, and that delivery cases are secure before getting out onto the road
* Drive safely in a variety of locations and conditions
* Serve customers brilliantly, assist with questions and substitutions, and keep them informed of any delays
* Build knowledge about products, services and promotions to provide recommendations
* When not delivering, help across the store as needed

* Proficient in driving a large vehicle in different locations, from busy streets to narrow country lanes, delivering to a variety of residential properties

* Flexible and productive across the store when needed; fully trained in a variety of skills to learn, develop and try new things

As one of our Home Delivery Drivers, you’ll be the special ingredient that delivers everything our online customers shopped for at Sainsbury’s.
Eligibility
* You must be over 18 and have held a full UK/EU driving licence for at least 12 months with no more than 6 points
* You will complete an online driving risk assessment as part of your interview and, if successful, there will be a driving assessment when you join us
* You must have Right to Work eligibility in the UK
