Our client, a trusted name in defence and engineering solutions, is seeking a proactive and organised Procurement Buyer to support their Sales & Operations Manager in delivering efficient procurement services. The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
Minimum 2 years' buying/procurement experience
Familiarity with MRP systems (OrderWise experience a plus)
Experience in supplier negotiation and invoice processingSkills:
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Proficient in MS Office
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasksQualifications:
CIPS Level 2 (or working towards)
GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics
Key Responsibilities:
Raise and process RFQs/RFIs and purchase orders
Negotiate pricing and ensure financial authority compliance
Update MRP system with compliance and safety data
Perform first-level invoice checks against POs
Manage supplier relationships and chase late deliveries
Maintain approved supplier lists and compliance documentation
Liaise with internal teams including sales administration
Answer and direct customer calls professionally
