This role involves collaborating with the Head of Department, Assistant Heads, Lecturers, and Technicians to coordinate practical and theoretical activities. You will work on embedding equality, diversity, and inclusion practices, ensuring students with SEND and High Needs receive personalized curricula that incorporate English and Maths within vocational learning and the Supported Learning Department. Responsibilities include managing staffing and timetables to maximize student achievement, implementing personalized curricula with ambitious outcomes for students with High Needs, and championing inclusivity through mentoring and modeling inclusive practices. Your management style should foster collaboration in planning and resource adaptation to enable all students, including those with high needs, to reach their full potential.
* Degree or equivalent in a relevant subject.
* A teaching certificate such as DTLLS or Cert Ed / PGCE.
* Extensive relevant experience in specialist SEND education or post-16 training.
* Proven ability to manage a large team and oversee HR policies and staff wellbeing.
* Experience in implementing reasonable adjustments to promote inclusion and curriculum access.
* Experience working with parents, schools, and local authorities.
* Understanding of public sector operations and policies.
* Ability to lead and motivate a team.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
