About the Role / Primary Responsibilities Muzinich & Co. seeks a motivated team player with a strong work ethic who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and who seeks to operate as part of a global firm. Sector credit analyst Conduct fundamental credit analysis and form opinions regarding financial health of bond and loan issuers within the assigned sector coverage universe – to be agreed with the Director of Research - Europe. Communicate sector-based investment recommendations for a wide range of fixed-income strategies: cross-over credit, tactical credit, high-yield, leveraged loans and long-short strategies. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge and opinion of issuers through analysis of results, news stories, changes in sector dynamics and by maintaining financial models with forward looking projections Carry out relative value analysis across sectors, capital structures, credit instruments, highlighting opportunities both in primary and secondary markets catered to different Muzinich Strategies Maintain productive relationships with the sell-side and issuer management teams to enable good access to research, public information, conferences, investor days and primary issuance Maintain strong communication, both written and verbal, with Muzinich portfolio managers Maintain responsibility for implementing and integrating ESG processes in credit research and investment decision making and build company/ESG knowledge and understanding Support marketing team through meeting clients/consultants and contributing to RFP’s where necessary. Additional areas of responsibility and skills Maintain an up to date knowledge of Muzinich Strategies A strong understanding of competitive landscape and Market Knowledge in relation to Muzinich activities and FCA “CPD” requirements. Team player and self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to integrate and thrive in a fast paced environment Working with other departments at all times in order to help continue the successful growth of the business Work closely with the broader teams and investment professionals within the firm to thoughtfully leverage their relationships, time and expertise in communicating with existing and potential clients Excellent organisational skills Analytical and detail orientated Excellent communication skills – internally and externally Advanced Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills Excellent presentation, writing and oral communication skills Ensure that all regulatory and legal requirements and standards are met. Education and qualifications CFA or studying University degree (and MBA) Additional European language an advantage but not required
