SDI is looking for a passionate and proactive Social Media Community Manager to join the client’s Global Social Media Team in shaping the voice of our client across global platforms. This role focuses on marketing engagement, not customer support — you’ll be a part of the team behind the handle, responding to fans, partners, and creators with quick wit, brand savvy, and cultural fluency.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in fast-paced, trend-driven environments, has a pulse on social culture (especially around FIFA and Formula 1), knows how to turn everyday conversations into meaningful brand moments, and is available to work weekends.
This is a remote position based in the UK, hiring on behalf of a global technology company.
Responsibilities
* Monitor client’s social media channels (mainly TikTok, X/Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and YouTube)
* Work Wednesday-Sunday (9am-6pm) shift to support proactive and sports sponsorship weekend coverage.
* Craft timely, on-brand replies that reflect client’s tone and amplify our marketing moments
* Engage with fans, influencers, and brand mentions in real time — driving positive sentiment and brand affinity
* Collaborate closely with global and regional social leads to align on campaign messaging, tone, and priorities
* Proactively identify engagement opportunities around trending topics, tech news, and pop culture (with a special focus on FIFA, F1, and major client partnerships)
* Track community insights and engagement themes to help inform future content and campaigns
* Escalate reputational risks or sensitive topics to the appropriate teams
IMPORTANT: Working hours are from Wednesday to Sunday during standard daytime hours (not overnight).
Qualifications
* 3-5+ years of experience in community management or social media marketing (agency or in-house)
* Exceptional written communication skills — clever, concise, and conversational
* Comfortable managing multiple platforms and tools (experience with Sprinklr is a positive, but not required).
* Deep interest in sports (especially FIFA and Formula 1) and digital culture
* Confident working in a global environment and collaborating across time zones (team sits in North Carolina, USA and Bangalore, India).
* Comfortable adapting to evolving brand voice guidelines and experimenting with tone
* Highly organized, reliable, and able to work independently in a remote setting
Contract Details:
* Employment contract for an indefinite period
* 40 hours per week, working Wednesday-Sunday 9am-6pm BST.
* Remote (UK-based candidates only)
* Must have the right to work in the UK
