SENIOR RECOVERY SUPPORT WORKER PERMANENT FULL-TIME IPSWICH Your Next Role! We’re seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Recovery Support Worker to lead and inspire a team delivering recovery-oriented mental health support. This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging leader to take on the leadership of the West Moreton Hospital to Home program, in collaboration with the Coordinator. The position fosters professional working relationships with hospital, community and other external and internal stakeholders, provides regular reports to management in relation to contractual obligations and provides supervisory support to other staff. In this dynamic role, you'll: Lead and supervise a team of Recovery Support Workers. Conduct client assessments and develop tailored support plans. Oversee service agreements and ensure contractual obligations are met. Advocate for clients and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. Deliver training, contribute to funding applications, and monitor budgets. Promote RFQ’s values of trust, compassion, resilience, and lifelong learning. You will need: Diploma in a human service-related field and, demonstrated previous experience working with people with mental illness. Or; Certificate IV/Diploma in Mental Health or equivalent and significant demonstrated previous experience working in a mentoring role providing services to people with mental illness. Demonstrate compassion, ethical integrity, and objectivity, supported by strong leadership experience in community services, contemporary recovery practice knowledge, the ability to build genuine and open relationships, and advanced capability in using internet-based technologies. Open drivers' licence and access to a registered roadworthy and insured vehicle (minimum third-party property insurance cover). Proven ability to provide supervision, support, and build effective working relationships. Undergo criminal history screening and obtain and maintain a valid NDIS worker screening clearance pursuant to the Disability Services Act 2006 (Qld). Effective in communication, conflict resolution, and demonstrating emotional intelligence. Willingness and ability to undertake vaccination of preventable diseases that complies with the Occupational Assessment, Screening & Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases - Qld Health Policy Directive.
