Overview
Freedom Leisure Swim Teacher role. Hours: Casual hours, as and when required. We offer a friendly working environment with variety every day and provide training needed to be a successful Swim Teacher. We welcome a diverse local community and strive for an inclusive and supportive workplace.
Responsibilities
* Teach swimming to customers of all ages and abilities as part of the Leisure Centre’s swimming lesson programme, ensuring they feel supported and are achieving their goals.
* Communicate with parents/guardians about a child’s development and advise on progression through the programme.
* Assist in supervising customers in the pool and surrounding areas, ensuring safety and appropriate conduct.
* Demonstrate excellent communication skills and a genuine desire to work closely with customers, including dealing with children and their parents.
* Provide or support required progression in training and on-the-job development.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Welsh language skills are desirable.
* Level 2 Swim Teaching qualification is desirable.
* DBS check required.
* Previous experience teaching swimming to children and/or adults is preferred, in line with qualification, training and experience.
* Ability to communicate effectively with parents/guardians and to work closely with customers.
