 
        Our client is a respected carpentry and joinery subcontractor based in South Wales who deliver high-quality packages for Tier 1 main contractors across Wales and the South West. Specialising in fire door installation, bespoke joinery, and fit-out works, the company has built a reputation for excellence, reliability, and compliance with the highest safety standards. Role Overview We are seeking a Quality Control Manager to oversee the measurement, installation, and compliance of fire door sets on major Tier 1 construction projects. The successful candidate will ensure all works meet strict quality, safety, and regulatory requirements, maintaining robust documentation and liaising closely with site teams and project managers. Key Responsibilities * Conduct quality inspections on fire door installations across multiple live projects. * Measure openings and ensure fire doors and ironmongery are correctly specified and fitted to manufacturer and project standards. * Ensure all works are completed in line with BM Trada or IFC certification requirements. * Manage snagging and close-out processes, ensuring defects are recorded, rectified, and signed off. * Maintain comprehensive quality and compliance records, including photographic evidence and inspection reports. * Liaise with site managers, project teams, and client representatives to ensure consistent quality delivery. * Provide feedback and training to carpentry teams on best practices and installation standards. * Support health & safety compliance in collaboration with the company’s HSEQ team. Requirements * Proven experience working within the construction sector. * SMSTS and CSCS * Excellent attention to detail and ability to interpret drawings and specifications. * Confident communicator, able to liaise with clients, site teams, and certifying bodies. * Full UK driving licence (company van provided). * Experience working on Tier 1 contractor sites is advantageous.
