Warwickshire County Council is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity to join our Reablement Service as an Apprentice Reablement Assistant. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting people to live independently and wants to develop a career in adult social care. The position will be covering the whole of Warwickshire, but your base would be the north of the county based in Kings House Bedworth or the south of the county based at Heathcote House in Leamington Spa. Postholders will however be expected to be able to travel to all areas across the county depending on the needs of the service. About the Role As an Apprentice Reablement Assistant, you’ll support adults in their own homes within the community, helping them to regain confidence and independence following illness, injury, or hospital discharge. You will work with people from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures, delivering outcome focused support plans under the direction of a Reablement Officer or Occupational Therapist. This role combines paid employment (30 hours per week) with training towards the Level 2 Adult Care Worker Apprenticeship. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, there is the opportunity to progress into a permanent Reablement Assistant role. Working Pattern 2 weeks of 7am - 2.30pm 1 week of 2.30pm - 10pm Including every other weekend and some bank holidays.
