As Finance Manager, you’ll report directly to the CEO and work closely with the board, shaping financial strategy and ensuring the organisation remains financially sound and compliant. You’ll be the go-to person for all things finance, from management accounts to budgeting, cashflow and trustee reporting. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for: Preparing monthly management accounts and board reports Leading budget creation and tracking spend across departments Presenting financials at trustee meetings and supporting strategic decisions Managing payment runs, reconciliations and weekly/monthly cashflow reporting Overseeing ledgers and ensuring financial controls are robust Delivering year-end accounts in partnership with external accountants Ensuring compliance with relevant charity accounting standards What you will need: Experience in a similar role, such as Finance Manager / Financial Controller / Head of Finance Strong management accounting and budgeting experience Full finance ownership in a previous role Charity sector experience is desirable but not essential Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs) To be either qualified (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or QBE A steady, collaborative approach, someone who can work closely with stakeholders and guide the organisation financially What you will get: Hybrid working (2 days WFH after probation) Flexible hours (37 hours per week) 25 days holiday plus bank holidays 6% employer pension contribution Group Life Insurance (4x salary) Critical Illness Cover (75% salary) Employee Assistance Programme Free, onsite parking Monthly cake and coffee catch-ups — yes, really If you’re looking for a role with purpose, visibility and autonomy — and want to work with a genuinely lovely team — we’d love to hear from you.
