Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team. We seek an enthusiastic nurse passionate about patient care, committed to high clinical standards, with an interest in Orthopaedics, surgery, and diagnostic imaging. Our clinic provides both First Opinion and Orthopaedic Referral services, with nurses rotating across all areas.
About the Clinic
East Neuk Veterinary Clinic is renowned for surgical excellence in dogs and cats, often receiving referrals from across Scotland for specialist orthopaedic treatments. We handle a diverse caseload, from routine procedures to fracture cases, focusing on delivering affordable, evidence-based, high-quality care.
Responsibilities
1. Inpatient care and client assistance
2. Diagnostic imaging and anesthesia support
3. Nurse consultations and surgical assistance
4. Maintaining surgical equipment and preparing patients
5. Managing stock levels
Facilities
Our state-of-the-art hospital features spacious operating theatres with Multiparameter Monitoring, DR X-Ray, Siemens CT scanner, ultrasound, and advanced fracture plating systems. We prioritize providing our staff with the best equipment available.
Location and Environment
Located in the charming village of St Monans in the East Neuk of Fife, our setting offers picturesque beaches, coastal trails, and local amenities. Despite the tranquil environment, Edinburgh is just an hour away, and Dundee is 45 minutes by car.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time role, 40 hours across 4 days per week, with a rotating weekend schedule of 1:10. Shifts are typically between 7:30 am and 8:30 pm. There are no out-of-hours or on-call duties.
Team and Culture
Join a welcoming team of 7 Veterinary Surgeons, 10 Veterinary Nurses, and 5 front-of-house staff. Our team includes specialists in small animal surgery and experienced practitioners. * Salary up to £34,000 per annum DOE
