Introduction :
As a Cloud Security Solutions Architect at Boeing, you will be a key member of the Cloud Security team, responsible for designing and implementing security solutions for our cloud infrastructure and applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure our cloud environments meet the highest security standards and best practices, safeguarding sensitive data and ensuring the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of our cloud-based services.
Position Responsibilities :
1. Collaborate with stakeholders, software architects, and DevOps teams to design and implement security solutions across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
2. Develop and maintain an understanding of the organization's cloud infrastructure, applications, and data flows.
3. Design, develop, and implement secure patterns to facilitate our transition to a cloud-first approach.
4. Partner with the policy as code team to define and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices to ensure compliance.
5. Lead threat modeling and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
6. Evaluate and recommend security tools, technologies, and services to enhance cloud security.
7. Collaborate with development teams to ensure secure coding practices, conduct vulnerability assessments, and perform regular security testing.
8. Lead security awareness training to promote secure-by-design methodologies among developers and application teams.
9. Stay informed about emerging cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve our security strategies.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1. Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
2. Significant experience in cloud security architecture and design, with expertise in major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
3. Experience developing and operating microservice, containerized, or serverless applications.
4. Strong knowledge of orchestration technologies, CI/CD, and GitOps environments.
5. Proven ability to design and implement security solutions for cloud systems, including IAM, network security, data protection, and compliance.
6. Deep understanding of cloud security best practices, encryption, authentication, authorization, and audit capabilities.
7. Familiarity with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, CIS, ISO 27001.
8. Experience with security assessment tools, vulnerability management, and penetration testing.
9. Excellent communication skills to explain complex security topics to diverse audiences.
10. Relevant certifications like CCSP, CISSP, or cloud-specific certifications are advantageous.
11. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and in teams.
