Robert Half is partnering a Manchester based consultancy in the appointment of a Senior Finance Manager.
The company operates in the financial and infrastructure services sector, focusing on the management, investment, and oversight of long-term infrastructure projects.
Reporting into an Associate Director, the Senior Finance Manager will oversee a team of 3, offering guidance and support to ensure project deadlines and KPIs are consistently achieved. This is a hands-on role, requiring someone who can “roll up their sleeves,” manage complex multi-project environments, and engage directly with both the team and high-level stakeholders.
Management Accounting
* Review management accounting systems, processes, and controls
* Regular monitoring of underlying working papers and ledgers
* Review management accounts reports and recommend improvements
* Provide coaching and on-the-job training to junior team members
Financial Accounting
* Review statutory accounts, accounting policies, and treatments
* Provide technical guidance on refinancing, accounting standards changes, and project-specific policies
* Liaise with audit and tax partners and provide feedback on areas for improvement
Reporting
* Attend project board meetings, providing input on key issues and technical matters
* Track and comply with project deliverables per loan facility agreements
* Review financial and operating models, and prepare budgets and cash flow forecasts
* Liaise with funders and establish strong working relationships
Essential Attributes:
* ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
* Experienced in multi-entity or multi-project environment (PFI/PPP/Infrastructure a plus)
* Relatable, approachable, and strong communicator, able to engage teams and board-level stakeholders
* Hands-on people manager, comfortable working onsite
* Strong stakeholder management skills
* Proven track record of academic and career progression
