Community Team Manager – Specialist Childrens Mental Health Services (SCAMHS)

This is an exciting opportunity to join East Suffolk Specialist Childrens mental health team, supporting young adults aged 4-18 years during a crucial stage of their development. Our service sits within Children, Families and Young People (CFYP) services and benefits from well‑established clinical treatment pathways designed to deliver responsive, high‑quality care.
As Community Team Manager you will provide operational oversight leadership for service delivery, working closely with the SCAMHS Triumvirate, the Principle Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrist. You will be supported in your post by a Community Matron and an Operational Manager to ensure excellent outcomes for service users. You will also be part of a supportive wider network, linking closely with East Suffolk YAMHS teams and benefiting from strong peer support and clinical collaboration.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated leader with experience of working in community mental health services with the under‑18 age group. You will bring experience of working across primary and secondary care, as well as with VCSE partners, and share our commitment to delivering safe, effective and compassionate care.
Key Responsibilities Include
* Providing visible, values‑based leadership and acting as a positive role model within the service
* Managing and supporting the team to ensure staff are appropriately trained, informed and competent in their roles
* Ensuring robust systems are in place for supervision, appraisal, objective setting and personal development
* Allocating and overseeing caseloads to ensure safe practice and the effective use of resources
* Maintaining safe staffing levels within agreed budgets
