About the role
Are you passionate about joining a team dedicated to making a positive impact on the environment and communities? We are looking for a Mechanical Technician to work in the Essex Maintenance team. No two days are the same, offering opportunities in fault diagnosis and preventative maintenance to improve plant availability.
At Northumbrian Water, we offer specialization in areas such as condition-based maintenance, generators, and chemical dosing. Previous experience is beneficial, but we provide tailored training to support your career and earning potential.
You will be a fully mobile worker, provided with a van, starting and finishing from home. All tools and equipment are supplied to minimize plant downtime.
The role involves participation in an out-of-hours standby rota, with an annual payment of circa £1,000. We ensure you receive relevant training for this. Additional payments are made for callouts and extra hours.
We promote internal development and growth opportunities, supported by our leadership and team environment.

We seek candidates with a can-do attitude, willingness to learn, practical skills, and a keen eye for root cause analysis. Excellent communication skills, teamwork, and a strong health and safety ethic are essential. A full UK driving license is required.
