Part Time Financial Controller
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Financial Controller to oversee our financial operations and ensure the integrity of our financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsibility for all financial transactions.
Prepare and present monthly management accounts to the Directors.
Manage cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting.
Maintain all financial systems and identify aspects that can be improved, implementing changes to support business development and ensure accuracy and compliance.
Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as needed.This is a ‘Hands-on’ role, where you will be responsible for the full remit of the finance function from processing transactions to cashflow management, monthly management accounts preparation, budgeting and forecasting, etc.
Detailed Responsibilities:
Oversee maintenance of the timesheet/billing portal.
Sales Invoicing and Credit Control.
Contractor Payroll.
PAYE Payroll.
Cashflow management.
Bank reconciliations.
Monthly management reporting.
VAT Returns.
HMRC Intermediaries Reporting.
Financial Year-End preparation and liaison with external auditors.
Staff management responsibilities: Compliance Administrator (full-time) and Finance Administrator (part-time).Software Packages:
HSBCnet (including Invoice Finance)
Sage 50 Accounts; Sage 50 Payroll; Sage HR
Bullhorn (CRM)
Evertime (Timesheet/Billing portal)
Various third-party portals (e.g. Fieldglass, Coupa)Qualifications and Skills:
Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Or QBE?
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Thorough and methodical attention to detail.
Excellent presentation and communication skills.
