We’re partnering with a fast-growing engineering and building services business investing heavily in sustainability, compliance, and long-term environmental strategy. They’re looking for a driven Graduate Sustainability Officer who wants more than just spreadsheets and shadowing senior staff.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
• Supporting the rollout and continuous improvement of environmental and sustainability systems
• Assisting with ISO 14001 implementation and compliance activities
• Monitoring energy usage, waste, carbon reporting, and environmental performance data
• Working alongside operational and project teams to improve sustainable delivery across live projects
• Supporting audits, compliance reporting, and environmental documentation
• Contributing toward Net Zero strategies and sustainability action plans
• Supporting BREEAM-related activities and low-carbon project initiatives
• Learning how sustainability actually works inside a commercial engineering environment — not just in theory
WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR
• Degree qualified (or nearing completion) in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, or similar
• Strong interest in sustainability, compliance, carbon reduction, or environmental management
• Organised, commercially aware, and proactive
• Someone who wants progression — not just a placeholder graduate role
• Strong communication skills and confidence working with multiple departments
• Good Excel / Microsoft Office capability
BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE
• Exposure to ISO standards, carbon reporting, BREEAM, or environmental compliance
• Internship, placement year, or project experience within sustainability or engineering
• Knowledge of UK environmental legislation or Net Zero frameworks
