Role : CMM Programmer - Aberlink Location : Birmingham Salary : £15-£17/Hour Reporting to : Machine Works manager Scope & Purpose To perform visual and dimensional inspection of a variety of components within unit 2, precision machining, insuring they are compliant with required quality standards and legislative safety standards Using industry known methods to check conformity of product. Such as CMM with Aberlink software, All types of hand tools such as bore mics verniers and gauges. The high through put and complexity of components needs a competent and confident Inspector who can work with the Engineering team on a daily basis. A high level of understanding of GD&T is required due to the variability of the product. You will be required to write COFC’S ISIRS and Fairs. Knowledge Required: Ability to read technical drawings CMM Inspection Knowledge of measuring equipment CMM Programming - Aberlink Inspection Reports Accountabilities: Read technical drawings and Interpret geometric features Perform CMM Inspection - Aberlink Materials include: Aluminium, Steel, Castings, Cast Iron. Operating CMM and conventional equipment: Verners, Micrometers, Gauges, Callipers, etc. Document Quality issues and report non-comformities Generate CMM Programmes Expert knowledge of FAIRS This is a really exciting opportunity for a CMM Inspector/Programmer looking for their next opportunity working within a CNC precision engineering workshop.
