Project Manager | Engineering Delivery Specialist Location: St Helens, Merseyside (Predominantly On-Site Travel) Hours: Full-Time, Monday – Friday About the Opportunity Certain Advantage is partnered with a leading engineering client to recruit a driven and organised Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of large-scale engineering projects. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you will be fully accountable for a portfolio of projects, driving their success from initial scoping and financial planning through to final installation, testing, and client handover. What You'll Be Doing: As the Project Manager, you will be the central figure coordinating all project phases: End-to-End Accountability: Assume full responsibility for project success, ensuring delivery meets defined objectives, budget, and schedule. Project Governance: Establish, track, and manage budgets, schedules, and resource plans to achieve all critical milestones. Design & Technical Coordination: Work closely with the Design Manager to ensure technical specifications are aligned with detailed client needs and project requirements. Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary client liaison, fostering strong relationships and maintaining regular, professional communication. Manufacturing Oversight: Collaborate directly with the Production Manager to monitor manufacturing progress, resolve production challenges, and ensure quality control. Documentation & Compliance: Produce and maintain essential project documentation, including Installation Plans, Method Statements, Risk Assessments, O&M Manuals, and Test Certificates. Communication: Create and deliver clear presentations of technical content to both internal and external stakeholders, supported by applications engineers. What You'll Bring: We are looking for an organised and adaptable individual who can confidently lead cross-disciplinary teams. Proven Project Management Success: Demonstrated experience managing projects, ideally within the engineering, construction, or technical manufacturing sectors. Leadership & Communication: Excellent communication and leadership capabilities, with prior experience successfully leading cross-disciplinary teams (Design, Production, Installation). Technical Familiarity: A solid working understanding of the engineering environment (mechanical/electrical exposure is highly beneficial). IT Proficiency: Strong IT proficiency, including MS Project, Word, Excel, Outlook, and SAP. Working knowledge of AutoCAD is a bonus.
