We are looking for someone with excellent communication skills, a good work ethic, a positive attitude and a commitment to delivering high‑standard services to work with the facilities team on a bank basis.
Your role will be on an “as required” basis to cover any sickness or annual leave within the facilities team.
You will be working with the facilities team within Islay Hospital and associated sites for the delivery of facilities services to our departments, wards and Gortonvogie Residential Home.
This is a varied and challenging role which will involve cleaning duties, laundry duties, checking equipment and food handling on a daily basis.
Ideally you will have knowledge and awareness of health and safety, manual handling and food hygiene standards, although full training will be provided.
You will have access to a wide range of learning and development opportunities via face to face training and online courses.
The role operates on a shift pattern worked between 07:30 and 18:30, up to a maximum of 5 days out of 7.
The post offers a competitive salary which includes enhanced rates of pay for weekends and public holidays.
