Procurement Manager/ Deputy Head of Procurement £63,000 - £80,000 London/Hybrid (2 days a week on-site) 6 month FTC (could extend) Are you a strategic procurement professional with a passion for building strong category plans, developing people, and delivering high-quality commercial outcomes? Morgan Hunt are delighted to be working with a respected UK-based regulatory organisation who are seeking an experienced procurement professional to help drive its procurement strategy, operations, and team development to the next level. Key Responsibilities: Leading the design and implementation of category management strategies and standardised tendering processes. Overseeing the day-to-day procurement pipeline and ensuring systems and data are used effectively. Delivering high-quality tenders that align with internal policies and procurement regulations. Working closely with stakeholders to provide expert procurement, commercial and contractual advice. Building capability across the team and acting as deputy to the Head of Procurement as required. Lead and oversee tender activity and procurement planning across your category. Develop and maintain procurement work plans to ensure visibility, resource alignment, and risk mitigation. Champion best practice and continuous improvement across procurement activities. Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure procurement input into strategic programmes and initiatives. Line manage and mentor junior team members, embedding a culture of growth and high performance. Provide accurate data and insights to inform business decisions and track key performance outcomes. Qualifications and Experience Proven senior procurement experience within a regulated or public sector environment. Expertise in category management, strategic sourcing, and contract management. Strong leadership and people management capabilities. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Confident in navigating complex procurement regulations and frameworks (e.g. PCR 2015). Ability to manage competing priorities with a proactive and collaborative approach.
