As a Waking Nights Support Worker, you ll play a vital role in creating a safe, calm, and caring environment where our children can rest easy and feel secure through the night. You ll: Help children settle in for bedtime and ensure they have the reassurance they need. Check in regularly throughout the night, offering comfort and emotional support. Provide personal care when needed with warmth and respect. Be part of a close-knit, passionate team that works together to make every day and night count. During the day, the children attend the nearby MacIntyre School, and you ll be part of a team that ensures their nights are just as nurturing as their days. Hours: 38 per week, with shifts on a rota including bank holidays and weekends. IND1 About You You may have been a care assistant or support worker before, but if not don t worry, you don t need experience so long as you have the right approach, we'll teach you the rest. We ll support you to gain your Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare (free of charge), alongside other specialist training all provided on site by MacIntyre. The Diploma is a requirement for all Support Workers at our residential children's homes and you will need to obtain it within two years of starting your employment with us. You will need your own transport to and from work - we are in a rural village with no nearby public transport.
