Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a fixed term 9 month contract for a Receptionist working 32 hours per week to join the Patient Services/Family Services Reception Team at Scunthorpe General Hospital. The postholder will predominantly work in the Obstetrics reception area; however the need to cover all reception areas within Family Services (Paediatrics and Gynaecology) will be required from time to time. We are looking for someone to provide a welcoming, professional and courteous service to patients and visitors who visit the hospital. The customer facing role of the receptionist will be instrumental to the efficient running of the Reception areas across the Trust, therefore you will be smartly presented and have excellent customer relations and communication skills to work in this customer facing service.
Post holders will be required to assist patients and visitors using a variety of communication methods. The post holder will be required to liaise effectively with colleagues and other departments within the hospital in a professional and pleasant manner and to ensure the confidentiality of information and patient details is adhered to at all times, in accordance with the Data Protection Act, Caldicott guidelines and other Trust Policies and procedures.
