We are seeking a passionate, proactive and committed Pharmacy Technician who is eager to contribute to outstanding patient care. This is an exciting opportunity to join our pharmacy team during a transformative period as we have recently implemented Electronic Prescribing and Medicines Administration (EPMA).

Responsibilities
The Successful Candidate Will Already Be Working As a Band 4 Pharmacy Technician In An Acute Hospital Setting And Will Be a Key Member Of The Clinical Pharmacy Team. They Will Support The Implementation, Monitoring, And Reporting Of Pharmacy And Medicines Related Activities Across a Wide Range Of Clinical Specialities. These Activities Will Include
* Obtaining drug histories using summary care records and reconciling against the patient’s prescription chart
* Assessing patients own medicines
* Co-ordinating discharge planning in conjunction with pharmacy and ward staff
* Ordering patients medicines as part of discharge preparation

Participation in the weekend rota (1 in 4 weekends) is a core requirement of the role. In addition, there will be a requirement to work a late night shift covering ACT duties in the dispensary.
