Position Summary
The Sales Associate is responsible for assisting in the execution of all operational and merchandising functions within the store during their assigned shift. They are tasked with providing excellent customer service to every guest.
Major Responsibilities and/or Essential Functions
1. Driving Sales
* Drive sales to achieve and exceed personal and store goals.
* Handle all funds and merchandise according to company policy and procedure.
* Assist with scheduling at least one grassroots event per quarter.
* Manage merchandise effectively.
* Assist with marketing initiatives.
1. Customer Experience
* Provide an exceptional customer service experience.
* Serve as a product knowledge expert to educate customers.
* Model company values and serve as a role model for associates.
* Drive PLCC to enhance brand loyalty.
2. Operations
* Assist in merchandising, display maintenance, and visual updates.
* Replenish floor stock.
* Maintain store cleanliness and organization.
* Communicate with management about important issues.
* Adhere to store policies and procedures.
* Manage time efficiently.
Knowledge, Skills, & Experience
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 6-12 months retail experience.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Strong interpersonal skills.
* Ability to perform retail math.
* Proficient computer and POS system skills.
* High initiative and accountability.
* Flexible and adaptable.
* Detail-oriented and deadline-driven.
Physical and Work Environment Requirements
* Ability to lift 30 lbs, push, pull, bend, and stretch frequently.
* Stand for 8-10 hours daily.
* Use ladders or equipment for store maintenance.
* Work flexible hours, including holidays, weekends, and evenings.
* Minimal travel may be required.
Interaction
Daily interaction across all divisions and levels.
Reporting Line
Reports to Store Manager.
