Responsibilities
* Safely operate forklifts to move, load, and unload materials and products.
* Perform routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure they are in proper working condition.
* Transport materials and products to designated locations within the warehouse or facility.
* Stack and organize materials and products in a safe and efficient manner.
Inventory Management
* Keep accurate records of inventory levels and movements.
* Assist with inventory counts and reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
Safety and Compliance
* Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Work closely with other team members to coordinate material handling and logistics activities.
* Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations.
Documentation and Reporting
* Maintain detailed logs of forklift activities, including material movements and inspections.
* Prepare and submit reports on material handling and inventory status.
Warehouse Support
* Assist with general warehouse duties, such as packaging, labeling, and organizing products.
* Support loading and unloading of delivery trucks as needed.
* Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to enhance efficiency.
* Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on best practices and new technologies.
Essential Qualifications
* Valid forklift operator certification.
* Proven experience as a forklift operator or in a similar role.
* Strong understanding of forklift operation and safety protocols.
* Ability to lift and move heavy objects.
* Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials.
* Basic knowledge of inventory management and logistics.
