The Main Theatre department consists of 6 theatres including general surgery, urology and elective orthopaedics. The complex is a dynamic working environment with focus on development and quality improvement. The successful candidate will demonstrate these qualities providing a forward thinking attitude. What You Will Do You will have continuing responsibility for management of department and staff or equivalent sphere of nursing. You will provide professional leadership to all nursing staff. You will provide highly specialised nursing advice to ensure appropriate treatment and care is delivered to the patients at all times with the highest standards in clinical practice through study days, professional development and education. In the absence of the theatre manager, you will have continuing responsibility for the management of the overall theatre unit, which includes staffing theatre and the delivery of patient care. You will have have a proven record of effective team work and communication, while leading on and delivering high quality patient care.
