A chance to thrive We’re looking for a Financial Analyst within our Planning & Reporting team at Tesco Bank, part of Barclays Bank UK Plc. · What’s exciting or unique about the role? o You’ll be at the heart of Tesco Bank’s financial management processes, with exposure to the Finance Leadership Team. o This role is key to maintaining the models on which the Bank’s historic and future-looking reports are built, so your contribution really makes a difference. · Why is this a good opportunity? What does it offer that’s different from other roles/organisations ? o Initially this role will support delivery of existing processes and outputs however, as Tesco Bank processes evolve to closer align to Barclays’ processes, you will have input into how we operate for many years to come. o This is more than just a month-end role, so offers the successful candidate an excellent opportunity to take ownership of deliverables. · Key Stakeholders / Team Structure. o You’ll be working alongside a Planning & Reporting Manager, reporting into our Senior Planning & Reporting Manager. o The team’s outputs form the basis for financial decision-making within Tesco Bank and Barclays, and so our customers are amongst the most senior in the organisation. · Agile / Systems / Technology exposure o Experience working with Hyperion Planning & Budgeting system is essential to this role. o Familiarity with Financial Services, and Banking in particular, will help the successful applicant settle into the role faster. What you’ll be doing Key roles and responsibilities: · You will join the Planning & Reporting team, supporting the production of timely and accurate Management Reporting for Tesco Bank. This includes building and maintaining data models, reports and ad-hoc queries. · Collaborating with teams across finance, you will support compliance with reporting and planning cycle timetables. · Through your reputation for timely and accurate outputs, you will build strong working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders within Tesco Bank and Barclays. · Over time, developing into a SME for our Planning & Reporting processes, able to build and maintain data models, reports and analysis. · Identifying and driving opportunities for process improvement. · Working in a fast-paced environment and responding to ad hoc requests. We need you to have · Strong Excel and Powerpoint skills, including how to effectively present financial and written information. Hyperion/ePBCS experience preferable. · Proactive and structured approach, calm under pressure and comfortable taking responsibility for delivering tasks. · Excellent written and verbal communication skills. And if you have any of these, even better · Qualified or Part-qualified accountant. · Financial Services experience – Banking in particular.
