Payroll & Benefits Specialist
Location: Huntingdon
Salary: £35,000 – £40,000
Working Pattern: Hybrid (3 days office preferred, flexibility on days)
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
💡 The Role
A key position within the People & Culture team, leading end-to-end payroll and benefits delivery across a growing, multi-entity organisation.
You’ll take ownership of the full monthly payroll cycle, benefits administration, and statutory compliance, while supporting M&A activity and payroll-related projects. This role plays a direct part in shaping employee experience and operational excellence across the Group.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities

Lead full monthly & annual payroll cycle (incl. P60s & P11Ds)
*
Review payroll reports, deductions & tax compliance
*
Manage UK payroll system, HRIS (HiBob) & flexible benefits platform
*
Partner with Finance on payments & out-of-cycle runs
*
Handle complex calculations (zero-hours holiday, SSP, etc.)
*
Manage pension administration & regulatory compliance
*
Act as payroll & benefits lead on M&A activity
*
Maintain audit trails, documentation & continuous improvement
*
Respond to payroll & benefits queries across the business
👤 The Ideal Candidate
*
Strong end-to-end UK payroll experience
*
Experience in multi-entity or growing organisations
*
Up-to-date knowledge of payroll legislation & HMRC compliance
*
Confident supporting employees at all levels
*
Strong Excel, payroll systems & HRIS capability
*
Benefits administration experience highly desirable
*
Comfortable working in change, transformation or M&A environments
