Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Sous Chef to join our team in at the Dog in Pentrich. The ideal candidate will assist the Head Chef in food preparation, cooking, and supervising kitchen staff to ensure the highest quality dishes are served.
We work on a 4 on 3 off basis. This Role would have the possibility for Sundays off each week
Responsibilities
- Assist the Head Chef in creating and executing menu items
- Oversee food production and ensure dishes are prepared according to recipes and quality standards
- Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain a clean and organised kitchen environment
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards
- Help with inventory management and ordering supplies as required
Experience
- Previous experience working in a kitchen environment
- Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology
- Leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate a team
- Familiarity with food safety practices and regulations
- Culinary qualifications or relevant certifications are advantageous
