About the Role

Based at Bicton College, we are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join a successful teaching team. The successful applicant will take on the role of Study Programme Manager and contribute to a positive experience for all learners, with a focus on supporting students with SEND and behavioural difficulties. This role oversees all aspects of the programme as a pathway lead, ensuring learners have an engaging experience that enables them to reach their full potential.

Working collaboratively with the Curriculum Area Manager (CAM), you will be accountable for the learner journey from marketing and course promotion to initial advice and guidance. You will take sole responsibility for learner progression, careers advice, achievement tracking, destination recording, programme design, and maintaining high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment. Experience and/or knowledge of working with students who have diverse learning needs and/or behavioural difficulties is essential.


Responsibilities

* Oversee the programme as a pathway lead and manage the learner journey from recruitment to progression.
* Provide careers advice, track achievement and destinations, and contribute to programme design.
* Maintain consistently high standards of teaching, learning, and assessment.
* Support students with SEND and behavioural difficulties to ensure positive learner experiences.
* Collaborate with the Curriculum Area Manager to align provision with college objectives.


Skills & Experience

* Level 5 teaching qualification (such as a Cert Ed, PGCE, or DET) or willingness to work towards it. For the right candidate, the qualification can be undertaken through the college within three years of appointment.
* Minimum of a Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics.
* Understanding and/or knowledge of working with students with SEND and/or behavioural difficulties, underpinned by relevant land-based knowledge.
* Passion for motivating, inspiring, coaching, and mentoring learners while delivering high-quality teaching and learning.


Hours of Work

Monday to Friday (occasional evenings and/or weekends may be required).
