Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Bower Lodge School, Dibden, Southampton, SO45 5TD
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum depending on experience (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday 08:30 - 16:30
Contract: Permanent, Term Time only
Start: January 2026
About The Role: As an SEN Teacher, you will take a creative approach to teaching, tailoring lessons to meet pupils’ individual needs and ensuring the delivery of the school curriculum in a way that maximises achievement and development.
You Will:
* Deliver creative, personalised lessons for pupils with complex SEN/ASC needs.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and deliver high-quality learning experiences.
* Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development.
* Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every pupil feels valued.
Requirements:
* QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or Qualified Teacher Learning (suitable for ECTs or newly qualified teachers).
* Nationally recognised degree.
* Experience and passion for working with SEN/ASC pupils.
* Calm, engaging, and resilient, with an innovative teaching style.
* Commitment to pupil wellbeing, safeguarding, and inclusive education.
About Us: Bower Lodge School is a brand-new specialist day school in Dibden, Southampton, for boys and girls aged 4–11 with a diagnosis of autism and a range of complex learning, communication, and sensory needs.
